Kingston DataTraveler 2GB to 8GB
The Kingston company brand has been synonymous with top quality computer memory for many years. For years I had been envisioning the day when data storage devices would be small enough to be truly portable, and I clearly remember when I first saw one of these devices - I thought to myself "This is it. The future is here." I've had one of these Data Traveler flash memory sticks for about three years and I absolutely love it. I don't think I have ever had a single problem with it. If you have more than one computer in your office, these are one of the easiest ways of transferring files between them. Almost every computer has USB. And having one of these around the house is invaluable for doing some work on the laptop, then transferring the files to the Kingston and then to another computer. The thing that puts the Kingston memory stick over the top? It's the fact that these are actually eco-friendly devices. Think about it - instead of burning CDs or making a printout when you need to transfer data to another office, take some files to the printers, or anything like that, you can simply take this memory stick with you - they are small enough to fit in a pocket, can be attached to a keyring. 2GB is about as much data as 3 CDs, or a library of 2,000 books... I can't tell you how much this little technological miracle has helped me out. The 2GB version is currently rolling out for around $7.75 on Amazon, the 8GB coming in at around $17.50.
